Glitter and Soccer

Emma and Jack had their first soccer game today!
This is their coach giving them a pep talk before the game.

It was a hot one today! Here is Jack running for the ball.

Good game, Good game, Good game!! Emma scored 2 goals and Jack scored 1!

Last week I was making dinner and I heard Emma and Jack playing, but not Josh. I went to find him since he was so quite. I found him with one jar of blue glitter dumped in his hair and one jar of gold glitter poured out all over the floor. We have a nickname for him now. His name is now "tiny tornado"! Before I could figure out what to do with him he got up and ran towards Emma's room. As he was walking glitter was falling all over the floor. There was a trail of glitter where he walked. I quickly grabbed him and put him in the tub. While he was in the tub, the other two are walking on the floor and tracking the glitter throughout the house. Did I mention that Bobby was still at work so I was trying to clean "the tornado" and keep the glitter from spreading EVERYWHERE by myself. Thank goodness Bobby got home shortly after I got Josh in the tub and was able to help me get most of the glitter off the floor.

Apparently he thought it might taste good as it is around his lips!

Nice!

Athen's Botanical Garden

This weekend we took the kids to their first UGA game. Well actually, Bobby took Emma and Jack to the game while I ate lunch with Josh and drove around Athen's. The kids did good and stayed until half time. It was a very hot day. The high was 95! After the game we decided to drive over to the Athen's botanical gardens and show Emma some of the flowers. Well they have added a bunch of gardens and it was beautiful.

This was just outside of the garden Chapel.

Bobby and I laughed for a few minutes after Jack made his funny face. I did not ask him to do that I was trying to get him to smile.

1st day of PreK & Okaloosa Island

Here is Emma ready for her first day of Pre-K at Young Life Academy in Roswell. She goes from 7:55-2:25 Mon-Fri. One of my best friends is he teacher. I feel so blessed that if I cannot be with her everyday then who would I rather her be with? Aunt Krissy.

She also had her first day of Ballet/Tap on Monday so needless to say she was wiped out her first day.

Bobby and I rented a condo in FL for our yearly beach vacation. I found a good deal on a condo due to the oil spill in the gulf. The place that we rented has a lazy river, zero entry pool and a huge 5,000 foot pool. They gulf was like a ghost town with probably 1/8th of the condo's rented. So the first night we get there and take the kids to the pool, eat dinner and turn on the tv. Well the tv did not work. So the next morning I called the lady we rented from and told her about the tv. She called back shortly and said the property is in foreclosure and the tv will not be coming on but that she could upgrade us to another property. The place that we were upgraded to is called Azure and it is a 3bedroom 3 bath condo and ultra plush. The condo rents out for $3,000 a week in the summer. So we had our bags packed and moved within the hour. We were on the bottom floor which made it easy to get to and from the pools quickly.

Here is our kitchen

And living room

Josh is getting in too.

Daddy juggling all three in the water. Emma and Jack were both swimming like fishes while we were there. They refused to put on their life vests. I was really thankful that Jack had some good private swim lessons. His teacher would have been so proud!

View from our room at sunrise.

The gulf is so beautiful. I was sad by the fact that the first day we went out and walked along the beach I found a 3 inch round tarball that was 1 inch thick. We also saw 20 dead fish either on the shore or in the water. The next day we walked along the beach at sunset and I found 15 quarter size pieces of oil balls. The last day we were there I took these pictures and did not see any sign of oil.

This is our condo.

I took a knitting class 2 weeks ago and I knitted Bobby this scarf for his birthday. I did it as a surprise so I had to knit when he was not in the same room and while he was at work.

I knitted this one for me on the way down to Florida.

I knitted this one for Jack on our way home from Florida.

Cagle's Dairy Farm

This week I brought the kids to Cagle's Dairy farm. They got to pet and feed calves, ducks, goats and chickens. Here is Emma feeding one of the calves next to her friend Charlotte and Abigail.

Joshua's turn! He thought they were great!

Here is Jack feeding them.

Here is Joshua taking it all in.

Abigail, Emma and Charlotte learning how they milk a cow.

Jack and his friend Jay.

Jack, Jay, Jake & JoJo learning about how different kinds of milk are made.
Can you tell they are interested?

Emma loving on Joshua.

We took a hay ride to see the cows. It was so hot and the poor tractor could not keep up. It died 3 times during our short trip.

The cows came right up to the tractor. They only needed a little help from the Border Collies.
