Pottery,Haircut,South Dakota,Swim Lessons, Fountain Park

Here is one of our favorite places!! We love to go to All Fired Up-The pottery place. We normally pack up a lunch and put on our aprons!

Here is Emma painting a lady bug!

Jack is painting a robot.

Joshua got his second haircut and did so great! He has the cutest curls, but not for long.

All Done!! Such a cutie!!

Emma showing her brother some LOVE!! She loves him so much!

This summer we took a trip to South Dakota to see Bobby's relatives. Here is Joshua's first plane ride!!

Bobby's cousin Clint invited us over to see their new lamb. While we were there Georgia found a garner snake in the yard and the kids had so much fun playing with it.

The lamb loves Georgia. It followed her around everywhere she went. If she was not in view the lamb would start pacing back and forth!

This is the view of their backyard. This is when sadly my camera's battery died and of course I completely forgot to bring the battery charger. :(

I signed Emma and Jack up for swimming lessons with an instructor. Jack had 4, 15min lessons and Emma had 4, 25 min lessons. By the end of the week they both could jump in the pool come up for a breath of air and swim. I was so impressed!

Emma thinks she is a mermaid now and does so well swimming under water. She was even taught how to float on her back if she gets into trouble.

Here is Jack jumping into the pool!

And here he is swimming!!!

Jack having fun at Riverside Park.

Joshua enjoyed the fountains too!

Emma just started this thing where she always likes to pick up Joshua. For now there have been no accidents and he does not seem to mind it.

Oh look at that one!!

Cherry Picking at Mercier Orchards

Last weekend I really wanted to take the kids to pick strawberries in Dawsonville. Well we drove an hour all the way there and found out that they were closed. I even called and listed to their answering machine and it said that they were open. We were really frustrated. So I looked and looked at www.pickyourown.com and found a place in North GA that has pick your own cherries. So we thought we would give it a try. We drove an hour and a half to Mercier Orchards and were very pleasantly surprised. The people there were so kind! We paid $15 for a bag that would hold 5lbs of cherries, took a ride behind a tractor and started picking. There were several different kinds of cherry trees and so many trees. They said next weekend they are going to have blueberries ripe. We drove by the blueberry bushes and they were packed full of big blueberries!

Emma excited to pick cherries!

The tractor that we rode behind

The branches were plenty low enough that the kids could pick too!

Yummy cherries

Ya think there were enough to pick?

These were my favorites! Kind tart, but still sweet.

Joshua and I-he got to do lots of tasting!

The tractor coming to pick us up. We had such a great time. The people who work there told us to have as many cherries as we wanted while we picked. To taste the different variety of cherries to find the one that we liked the best. After we went back to the main building we had lunch, shared a piece of pie and sampled their homemade cherry ice cream. We had a great time!
