And we're off to San Diego & Hawaii

Emma carrying my computer bag. She had to roll my bag herself!!

Aunt Marilyn's back yard. She has a putting green that Emma & Jack loved.

Funny, look what is in the bottom of Aunt Marilyn's hot tub.
Could it be all her golf balls and a rock? How did those get there?
Emma? Jack?

Aunt Marilyn let us borrow her car. Wow, it is so different than being up high in our SUV's.
It was so much fun to drive.

Here we are at the Jay Leno Show.
We had great seats and his guest was Hugh Laurie from House.

We had so much fun on our journey to Hawaii. Thanks so much to Bobby's dad for helping us so much with the kids and for being such a wonderful Grandpa!! Emma and Jack just love him so much!! The only time that Jack cried on the plane ride was when Grandpa went to the bathroom and did not take Jack with him. Thanks also to Aunt Marilyn for being such a gracious host. We love you so much. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Emma just loves her Aunt "Mary" so much. She has asked about Aunt "Mary" everyday since we have been home. She even made me call her so that she could talk to her this week. Unfortunately, Aunt Mary is in Vegas having fun and Emma could not speak with her. We have some wonderful news! Jason is on his way back to the States tonight!! Kelly is Bobby's cousin and her husband Jason has been stationed in Kuwait & Baghdad for 14 months. We were lucky and got to see him twice this year when he had conferences in Atlanta. He arrives tonight at 6pm Hawaii time and Kelly and the kids will get to see their husband and daddy at 9pm. How exciting for them. We have some exciting news of our own. We are expecting our 3rd baby at the end of April. I have been feeling very well. I think that my morning sickness spells are ending (thank goodness they only lasted a few days). I only had a few days in Hawaii when I was not feeling that great. It seemed to come on right before dinner. The smells were making it worse.
The kids were so good on all of the plane rides. Bobby and I just cannot sleep on the plane. We got 15mins of sleep on our overnight flight from Hawaii to Atlanta. We came home and all took a 3 hour nap. We had to get ready to go to Jack's baby dedication at Church. It was so nice because Jack and his cousin Davis had their baby dedication on the same day. We got to celebrate with my brother & family, my parents, Danna's parents, and Grandpa Jim. We are so lucky to have these wonderful people in our lives on a daily basis!!!

Jay Leno, Airplanes & Hawaii

Outside the NBC studios in Burbank.

This is the sign outside the Jay Leno show that we were at on Friday night! It was super fun.

Emma on the plane heading to Hawaii. Too bad Hawaii is not closer!

Emma being goofy on the plane. Dad asks her to make funny faces and here is hers.

Sunset view from our dinner table.

More views from our dinner table. We ate at Hula Grill right about Duke's restaurant.
They had a band playing and the kids loved to watch all the band from our table.

Jim & the kids hanging out just before dinner tonight.
Cheeseburger in Paradise, oh so yummy.

Bobby, his dad, the kids and I packed up our stuff early Thursday morning and headed to the airport. We had a 5 hour flight to San Diego to visit his Aunt Marilyn. We arrived at her house around 4pm her time and hung out on her back porch. Her house is on the golf course and they have a practice putting green in their back yard as well as a large built in hot tub. Well our kids decided that they wanted to start throwing things in the hot tub. First they put in a large rock, then they threw in golf balls, one by one, until they were all in. The kids had so much fun. They are loving their Aunt Mary-as Emma calls her. I think she is trying to say Marilyn, but it is just too hard. Friday, his aunt let us borrow her red Mercedes to the Jay Leno show. Our GPS said it would only take 1 hour and 30mins to get there, but with LA traffic it took us over 2 hours. We got there at 3 and our tickets said that we had to be there no later than 3. We got in line and waited 45 minutes to get in. They told us that they might have to split us up because there were barely any seats left. But it ended up that we got awesome seats just on the second balcony right in the center. Jay was hilarious. He did stupid 911 calls, then interviewed Hugh Laurie from House and then Dana-someone. He/she is a drag queen who wears really sparkling clothes. We had a great time. The next morning our plane to Hawaii left at 6:15. Thank goodness that we were still on Atlanta time!! We had to get up at 3:30am!!! We had a layover in Salt Lake City and finally got to Hawaii at 2:30pm. We were traveling for 15 hours! There are no direct flights from San Diego to Hawaii. It would have taken less time for us to fly from Atlanta non stop. Bobby's cousin, Kelly and her two kids, and Aunt Marilyn met us at our condo. The kids are having so much fun together. Allyssa is 4, Emma is almost 3, Conner is 2 and Jack will be 2 in December. So they are very close in age. We went to the Military pool on Sunday since Kelly is in the Army. It is a nice pool and the kids has so much fun playing together. We went to dinner that night at Hula Grill that is located just over Duke's which is right on the beach.
It is amazing to me the amount of high end stores that are located on the main drive. In less than 1/2 mile we pass, Rolex, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Ferrari Store, Channel, and many others that I cannot think of now. We are having a great time. Everyone is doing well with the time change except for me! It is now 4am Hawaii time (10am Atlanta time) and I am wide awake! This is the 3rd day in a row that I have been awake at 2-3am and could not fall back asleep. Good thing I am able to take a nap when the kids go down in the afternoon.
