GOOD LUCK TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!

Just Beautiful!!!!!!

Flip's that I made for Krissy!

Sunday night we went to dinner with Jim at Mangia's and had pizza. It is so good. Monday my friend Stacey came over an I gave her a sewing lesson. I am so jealous cause her mom gave her a Husqvarna embroidery machine!! So we went over the basics and then I showed her how to make a pillowcase dress. It turned out so cute! She was so excited that she went and bought more fabric the next day and made another one and a burp cloth.
For the past two days we have gone to the park with Aunt Susan, Ben, Jake & Jessie, Austin and baby Brodie. Jessie picked up Mellow Mushroom for lunch (YUMMY!!!!!). The kids are so cute playing together. I think they have the most fun in the sand box and on the slide.

I have been busy for the past two days making embroidered flip flops for all the girls on my tennis team. When we went to City Finals last summer I made everyone a tennis towel. Of course it was good luck and we won. So of course I had to make them something for our State Championship Tournament to bring our team good luck again so I made them all embroidered koozies. So for our Regional Championship tournament, I had to continue with the good luck so I made everyone embroidered flip flops. They turned out really cute. I made one for each girl on our team, our team mom and a daughter of one of the players. I made 14 pairs of flip flops!!!!!

Our tennis captain, Heather Gray, just emailed us and told us that there is an article about our team on the USTA website. I copied it and here it is!

Who Knew?

THE LADIES OF TEAM GEORGIA KNEW

The ladies of the 3.0 Georgia team come from a wide array of backgrounds, but their bond for the game they love has brought them all together. “Without tennis we probably never would have met or come together like we have,” said captain Heather Gray.

This diverse team has players whose ages range from 26 to 53, and has players from the Northeast to Poland. Two of the team members had to sit out of State because they just had babies, but still the ladies pulled through earning their spot in Mobile.

“Tennis is our social activity. We are all avid tennis players and fans and several of us from the team went to the Andy Roddick/Robby Ginepri exhibition match last December,” said Gray.

We are friends on and off the court and spending four days together at State only deepened our bond with each other. Co-captain Paula Boulwane wrote a poem after State describing the team and the experiences they shared. Who knew these Atlanta girls were going to Mobile? They sure did.
